Which cleaning do I choose best?
Our general rule is gentle but thorough cleaning. So always choose an oil-based cleaner for first cleaning. This deeply cleanses the skin without drying it out. If you would like to be extra thorough, especially recommended when wearing make-up, sun protection or with acne-prone skin, then opt for a double cleansing and use a second water- or cream-based cleanser.
Should I use a separate cleanser to remove makeup?
You can also use an oil-based cleanser as a make-up remover. Massage the cleanser into dry skin, being sure to also apply the eyelashes. Afterwards, remove the substance from your face with wet hands or a damp cloth. Why clean the face before care? At the end of the day, your skin has a lot of air pollution, make-up, sunscreen, etc. on it. It is therefore important to remove all of these from the skin so that your skin barrier can breathe again. In addition, it is also much more pleasant for your care to apply it to a clean face, as your products will penetrate deeper and you will not smear any dirt into the skin.
How often and for how long should I clean?
Cleansing at least once every day is an absolute must for healthy skin, especially in the evening. Cleaning your face can be a me-time moment where you massage your skin with your cleanser for at least 30 seconds to 60 seconds and then rinse it off to let the last remains of your day flow away.
What is a double cleanse?
A double cleaning is the most thorough cleaning where you use two different types of cleaners one after the other. Always start with an oil-based cleanser that you apply to a dry face, massage and rinse. You can then perform a deeper cleaning on your damp face with a water-based cleanser or cream cleanser. By double cleansing you ensure that both fat-based dirt and water-based dirt are removed from the skin.
Which cleanser suits my skin type?
For dry skin, we recommend single-cleaning with an oil-based cleanser so as not to overdry the skin. Be sure to use a scrub regularly to remove loose skin cells. Do you tend to have impure and oily skin? Then the double cleanse is your new best friend.
