Gij maakt de lente schoon!

You clean the spring!

The spring fever brings us out of hibernation again and that is reflected in our home, among other things. We clean out cupboards, bring some color into our interior and adjust the decoration.

We have prepared a not-to-be-forgotten list to finish your spring cleaning in the bathroom down to the last detail. Whether we will order you in your own room? Gho, we call it: advising with pleasure! Bet there are points from our list that you hadn't thought of yet?

  1. Expiration date

Collect all the care products you used last summer and check the expiration date and / if there is a change in scent, color or texture. Also be sure to check the icon of the number of months that a product remains good after opening. And don't forget those lonely jars that haven't had enough for 1 portion for weeks. You know who you are.

Yes to one of the above checks? Throw away that trade! Be extra strict on SPF products. The protection decreases over time.

Products past their expiration date may contain harmful bacteria that you would rather not put on your skin! Do you have doubts about a certain product? Feel free to contact us and we will help you further.

  2. Collecting rage

Too little space in your bathroom cabinets? Go through with the coarse brush! Which products have not come out of the closet for a while but are not yet over time? Answer honestly!
You can always bring such a lost soldier to us in exchange for Clothilde's savings points. We donate everything to women who also deserve proper self-care but do not always have the means for it. Or you are looking for someone to have fun with.

Tip for disposal: Take a box and put everything that can disappear from the bathroom in it. Once the big grading is over, you can sort, empty, wash out the products and packaging correctly,... A nice music for this task really helps and nature thanks you!

  3. testers

Are you the ultimate seller who could hand out testers to everyone from your own inventory? The same rule applies here: Don't use it? Get rid of it! Maybe you will make someone else happy with it?

Have you opened a tester? Use and dispose. These products really only last one day.

  4. Furry friends

No, we are not talking about your pets, but about all the brushes in the bathroom. Starting with your toothbrush that may need to be replaced. A dentist once advised me to replace it with every change of season. Will you take this tip to heart from now on?

Hair brushes also deserve a thorough cleaning. Remove all escaped hair and lint. With a brush, you can easily comb it out with a comb. Afterwards you place them in a warm bath with a basic, natural shampoo. Let the hairbrush dry well afterwards or blow it dry with the hair dryer.

Finally, there are also the make-up brushes that we can gently clean. You can clean these gently with a mild soap such as the dedicated face wash or a children's shampoo. Never go too wild! The most important thing about cleaning the brushes is drying them. Dry them with a towel and then let them dry horizontally. Never place the brushes in a jar with the bristles pointing upwards while drying. This can cause the glue to come off, resulting in difficult, loose hairs. Drying can take up to a day, so wash your brushes when you don't need them right away.

  5. Handbags
Finally, we pay some attention to the handbags and backpacks. Again, you know who you are.

Do you also have a lot of lip balms and hand creams lying around? It's best to be strict with this. Generally speaking, a lip balm lasts about one year.

See, everything clean? Then you are 100% ready for spring.
